With everything else going on so far this summer, we have also managed to squeeze in a few zoo trips, swimming lessons and a visit with Charlie and Sammie. Bring on the rest of summer...we are ready for you! Oh, and Annabelle had her 9 month checkup last week (even though she was almost 11 months...we got off schedule when she had RSV) She weighs 23 lbs and is 30 inches long. Can't BELIEVE she will be 1 so very soon...She says 5 or 6 words...tells me yes and no...has been walking since 9 months...and still as sweet as ever...unless you tell her no!

Knapp Lake Love
The week after we went to Raccoon lake, we went to our lake cottage for 4 nights. Lots of fun..and lots of good finds. We managed to catch turtles, fish, and the biggest bull frog I have seen in a lonnnnng time! Lola was unsure of the frog at first (we had caught several small before with no issue)...After Pawpaw, Annabelle, and I held it for awhile she warmed up and played with it for awhile too. We've always had a small blow up pool down by the lake for the babes since Lola was a baby. We fill it with lake water. Obviously, we only use it until they are a year or so, but this year was Annabelle's turn. She LOVES fish of any kind. We put a few bluegill that we had caught in the pool with her. Needless to say, she was thrilled! (and yet I wonder why my children are fearless around anything creepy crawly) We also took two of our dogs with us since we no longer board them. They had a blast! They haven't been able to go since we had kids, but we agreed that Lola enjoyed having them there!
Visiting Nana and Pa
Nana and PaPa rented a lake house at the end of May. We decided to go visit them and had a GREAT time! We went for a boat ride and a swim. Lola had her first experience watching PaPa clean fish. As you all know, I am a throw your fish back kind of girl.. so I was unsure how Lola would react or if we even should let her see. I should've known that she would have no issue with it and wanted to help.
